The added challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic are making it even harder for families and children in Chester County to get the food they need. We have strategized to optimize food distribution while providing alternative and innovative forms of support through education, health, and wellness initiatives using diverse distribution outlets such as our Migrant Education program.
By utilizing our virtual food drive, you are supporting the Chester County Food Bank to direct our resources to our most urgent needs and preserving valuable staff resources to continue our programs and services.
We harness our buying power and stretch funds from grants, donations, and virtual food drives through different avenues including produce auctions, wholesalers, and direct sales with farmers. Thanks to the support of the community and donated dollars, we are excited to say that 50% of our distribution is fruit and vegetables! Your support today helps us to continue to real, healthy food to the table now and throughout the year.
