The rise in food and fuel costs is creating just as precarious a situation for people who are trying to feed their families as was the case during the pandemic. These numbers are unlikely to decline any time soon as the demand for emergency food stays at record levels.
By utilizing our virtual food drive, you are supporting the Chester County Food Bank to direct our resources to our most urgent needs and preserving valuable staff resources to continue our programs and services.
We harness our buying power and stretch funds from grants, donations, and virtual food drives through different avenues including produce auctions, wholesalers, and direct sales with farmers. Thanks to the support of the community and donated dollars, we are excited to say that 50% of our distribution is fresh fruit and vegetables!
